European Commission Critical Raw Materials Act Strategic Project designation

The future expansion of Jervois Finland cobalt refinery is acknowledged as a Strategic Project by the European Commission under the Critical Raw Materials Act.

The expansion is expected to increase European refined cobalt production capacity by over 20% and add to European cobalt recycling.

Located in the Kokkola Industrial Park, the future expansion will be undertaken in accordance with Jervois Finland’s exceptional sustainability record and leading environmental management practices and is expected to provide employment opportunities in Kokkola.
